We're with him on this effort. A law without an enforcement mechanism is just begging to be broken, even if it applies only to the people who write the laws in the first place.
Constitution, when legislators offer to swap "yes" votes on one another's bills, that's a no no. Or at least it is in theory.

Mailing it in to obtain "yes" votes and churn out laws like clockwork leads to bad laws. The people's business is not busywork to be handled in the fashion of "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours." Legislators who engage in logrolling are taking the easy way out, and those careless decisions can very well end up stinging Wyomingites with unforeseen consequences.
Although this practice, known as logrolling, is prohibited, state law lacks the teeth to prevent it. So as it stands now, legislators can get away with offering their colleagues a quid pro quo despite the letter of the law saying they can't. State Rep. Keith Gingery wants to correct that oversight.

Back Gingery effort to stymie logrolling

The bargain you made with voters when you decided to seek office entails you having some idea of what's in the bills you approve.
that given these time constraints and the minimal size of their support staffs, legislators can't be expected to pore over the minutiae in the reams of bills that cross their desks in 40 days.
When your state is nicknamed the Cowboy State and chooses a bucking bronco as its emblem, you can bet that its residents love some horse trading from time to time.
If your comment was not approved, perhaps.
Regardless of whether it is or isn't happening a lot, the temptation to take such a shortcut will be present until the state institutes a deterrent.

YOU SHOUTED YOUR COMMENT IN ALL CAPS. This is hard to read and annoys readers.
Gingery is pointing out a genuine deficiency in a process that affects all of Wyoming. That is reason enough to get behind Gingery in his push to make this paper tiger roar.
