Rulon Stacey, president of University of Colorado Health, which merged with Poudre Valley Health System, in a prepared statement did not acknowledge Banner's move. Instead, he extolled the virtues of his health system.
Banner entered into an exclusive agreement with Kaiser Permanente late last year. Outside observers said at the time the move would be a game changer, plunking Banner into fertile ground for market share. At the time, it was reported Kaiser had 6,000 members in northern Colorado.

"We are confident patients will continue to entrust us with their care in great numbers as they take advantage of the expanding services, the benefits of the latest proven advanced therapies, clinical trials and conveniences we continue to offer them," Stacey said in the statement. "UCHealth has combined the very best in academic medicine with the nation's best in community medicine to create the highest quality health care organization in Colorado and beyond."
Banner plans for the campus are within the 174 acre Poudre Technology Park on the southeast corner of Harmony Road and Lady Moon Drive.
"Development plans will be based upon community need, and growth in demand for Health services through our partnerships with other quality health care organizations like Kaiser Permanente," Ferando wrote in the statement.
With the agreement, Kaiser Permanente Colorado announced it would expand into northern Colorado for the first time by late 2012. The plan was to build offices in Greeley, Loveland and Fort Collins with an exclusive hospital agreement with Banner Health hospitals and physicians. "My first reaction is, is there really a need for more hospitals and more facilities in that part of Colorado?" Baumgarten said. "I guess I'd be surprised if there is."
Looking just at the senior enrollment in the Medicare program, PacifiCare insures the largest share at 4,016 members as of January 2012, Baumgarten said. Large employers, such as Colorado State University, are with Anthem based programs.
Banner submitted conceptual plans earlier this month to Fort Collins Planning Department to build the campus, just north of Fossil Ridge High School along Harmony Road east of Ziegler Road , complete with artist renderings of a sprawling medical campus, including two three story hospital buildings.
"Maybe Kaiser wants to make a run for that and would be in a better position to get it once they have new medical facilities right close to campus," Baumgarten said. "I think that would be part Nike Air Max Tavas Mens White

Banner has three clinics in Fort Collins, as well as Windsor. It also has several Weld clinics that would route patients to McKee Medical Center in Loveland. A medical campus in Fort Collins would give Kaiser members a somewhat closer health system to go to rather than Loveland or Greeley.

University of Colorado Health has moved into Banner's market share most recently by building an emergency room and a day surgery center near the King Soopers at 71st Avenue and 10th Street.
"They've been taking shots at each other for last five years or more," Baumgarten said.

of the strategy. If they're investing in establishing a medical center presence in Fort Collins, they'll be going after the employers and the seniors."
"The submission of the development plan for review and approval is a part of the Banner Health due diligence stage of the land acquisition process for a long term project. We have not decided upon any specific facilities to be built at this time, including construction of hospital beds. Development plans will be based upon community need, and growth in demand for Banner Health services through our partnerships with other quality health care organizations like Kaiser Permanente."
The planned medical campus is roughly two miles from the University of Colorado Health's campus that includes Harmony Urgent Care, Heart Center of the Rockies and Family Health Care of the Rockies.
