She added: "I am really looking forward to it because I have always wanted to go to China and had actually planned on going on holiday there one day.
"We we will be seeing so much."
"One of the days involves a nine hour walk. We are not walking the whole wall but it is about 80km we are travelling, which is around nine days of treking.
She added: "I'm going to use the excuse that I have to stay with it as I'm organising the evening and I want to see everyone else go up.
"I've got plenty of family and friends who are coming along and they will be involved. I'm sure he won't be short of volunteers."
She admitted to being a little nervous, having never planned a full charity night herself, but reckons the evening will be a great way to get the Red Cross message across while raising cash.
"I am quite nervous and there is going to be a lot of training involved," she said. "I do go out and walk and take my dog out for walks but this is going to be for hours at a time.

As well as taking a day to acclimatise after her arrival in China, Kirsty and other team members who have signed up will spend a final day resting and exploring Beijing, which should hopefully include a chance for her to visit the famous Forbidden City.
She is always thinking of ways to raise cash and has already started fundraising by selling second hand goods at car boot sales.
Kirsty will also head to China in October and is hoping to raise close to 3000 in total for the Red Cross.
Now, she is also set to launch a series of training weekends on sections of the West Highland Way to help prepare for the ambitious trek.
